Senior Project Manager

Department: Project Management
Location: Remote

This is a mid-level advertising agency position, driving timelines, managing budgets, and leading comprehensive integrated projects for our internal teams. While this position is remote, periodic travel and accommodating meetings in different US time zones is expected.

What does a Senior Project Manager do at Rain the Growth Agency?

  • Creative Project Management
    • Partner with Client Service on projects to ensure clients’ needs are met
    • Create project estimates and scopes of work
    • Manage complex, multi-disciplined projects from inception through completion ensuring that deliveries meet expectations
    • Responsible for delivering projects on time, in line with client expectations, and on budget
    • Creates and maintains project documentation such as requesting project codes/job numbers, creating project schedules, creating estimates, providing financial summaries, documenting meeting notes and more
    • Coordinates internal resources making sure that they are correctly booked and managed
    • Execute campaign and research deliverables, with an ability to manage constantly shifting priorities and ensure on-time execution
    • Continuously notifies team and clients on project progress, including keeping managers and account leaders apprised of client questions, feedback, changes, etc.
    • Manages the timing and receipt of client-provided creative assets
    • Archives final creative assets and working files
  • Media Project Management
    • Activate and manage the Media Activation Process assigning roles and responsibilities to other departments as needed
    • Regularly meeting with stakeholders, maintaining RainMAP documents and bi-weekly reporting
  • Team Management
    • Manage direct reports
    • Mentor Project Managers
    • Consistently identify new solutions to improve processes

What makes a great Senior Project Manager at our agency?

  • 5+ years of project management experience within media or creative agencies. PMI Project management certification preferred.
  • Must have experience managing creative projects from inception through completion
  • Experience with Smartsheet scheduling software or similar.
  • Proficient knowledge of the creative development process, marketing and CRM concepts, brand strategy, digital media landscape and digital technologies.
  • High-level proficiency in Microsoft Office, Smartsheet and Google Suite.
  • Excellent client-facing skills including self-presentation and clarity of verbal and written communication. Ability to negotiate and manage client concerns.
  • Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and deliver results on time, gracefully under pressure.
  • Impeccable attention to detail. Exceptional organizational and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment, with limited supervision, to manage a heavy workload, prioritize work, and meet assigned deadlines.
  • Embraces change; maintains an open mind and is flexible and adaptable in the face of ambiguity and change.
  • Proactively seeks opportunities to increase knowledge, skills, and abilities.
  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies.
  • Ability to translate client goals into tangible marketing solutions with the guidance of senior team members.
  • Media or creative agency experience
