Account Executive

Department: Client Services
Location: Portland, OR

At a glance:

This is an entry-level position supporting the Client Services team with developing and maintaining marketing campaigns for our clients. The right person will have some experience in account management and project management, combined with first-hand experience with the day-to-day work flow across internal agency teams including media, analytics, creative, production and finance.

While this is a remote role, periodically accommodating meetings in different US time zones is expected as are visits to our Portland campus.

What does an Account Executive do at Rain the Growth Agency?

  • Act as an integral member of our Client Service team to develop integrated campaigns for clients with a goal of getting it right every time for our clients
    • Proactively work to learn your clients’ business and campaigns
    • Enjoy working on multiple workstreams or projects including media, reporting and analytics and creative
    • Have the ability to multi-task, prioritize and communicate progress (or challenges!)
    • Set up meetings, help set and manage agendas and assist with meeting prep
    • Maintain client status documents
    • Provide well-organized, clear documentation of client meetings and discussions and capture key next steps
    • Assist in creating client-facing presentations, briefs and reports – always looking for opportunities to make the deliverable better
    • Partner with Project Management to manage creative workflows, review and proofread assets
    • Manage trafficking of creative assets to media partners
    • Support project or campaign initiation by initiating project codes, organizing project resources
    • Maintain invoice tracker and billing updates
    • Commit to deadlines and meet them
    • Track project status and internal and external communications across multiple platforms (Monday.com, Slack, SmartSheet, Sharepoint to name a few)

What do we look for in an Account Executive at our agency?

  • Relevant bachelor’s degree and 2+ years’ professional experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Some experience with media campaigns (digital, broadcast, integrated)
  • Thrive in a detail-oriented, fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrate excellent organization skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically
  • Have a curious nature and a willingness to learn
  • Bring a keen attention to detail and a collaborative working style
  • Have a willingness to go above and beyond for your clients’ needs, including some extended work days
