Account Supervisor

Department: Client Services
Location: Remote

At a glance:

This is a mid-level advertising position that independently manages the agency’s day-to-day relationship with client contacts and will begin to take the lead in this area. This role requires previous agency experience working on integrated campaigns across diverse clients to delivery success for performance-minded clients. The Account Supervisor works hard to earn and keep clients’ respect and confidence as a trusted advisor, bringing value to their business through a strong commitment to success, consistent performance, and the ability to develop a wide range of ideas and solutions.

While this is a remote position, periodic travel and willingness to accommodate meetings in different time zones is required.

What does an Account Supervisor do at Rain the Growth Agency?

Drive the success of your client accounts by:

  • Managing, coordinating, and leading agency teams to meet the clients’ integrated marketing needs, including performance media channels (digital video, paid social, paid search, linear TV) and campaign performance reporting against client KPIs
  • Partnering closely with Project Management to ensure client’s needs and deliverables are met
  • Demonstrating a passion for delivering results: in partnership with media, analytics and project management, facilitate development of measurement plans and reporting dashboards
  • Functioning as a primary day-to-day client contact on small to mid-sized accounts, supporting AD/GAD on large accounts
  • Developing a comprehensive knowledge of client business and represent client goals, objectives and business updates for the internal agency team
  • Leading client status and weekly reporting meetings, responsible for documenting key discussion points, decisions and next steps and proactively share with client and internal teams
  • Facilitating internal status meetings in collaboration with Project Manager, responsible for documenting and communicating client feedback to internal teams, changes in scope and updates on clients’ business
  • Partnering with SMEs across the agency to develop strategic recommendations meet clients’ objectives
  • Maintaining clients’ budgets for all agency services including input and follow-up on invoicing and payment status
  • In partnership with Project Management, contributing to and facilitating client approval of assignment briefs, integrated media briefs and creative estimate request forms
  • Managing coordination of marketing and communication plans/calendars, brainstorming sessions, creative strategy sessions, POVs, competitive reviews, as needed based on work with media SMEs
  • Embracing curiosity to stay in front of marketing trends including but not limited to media marketplace, marketing tools and technology, your clients’ category and competition
  • Train, guide and mentors other account executives

What do we look for in an Account Supervisor at our agency?

  • 4+ years of experience in an agency setting, preferably with media/marketing/advertising experience. Relevant bachelor’s degree a plus.
  • Experience and familiarity with media campaigns (digital, broadcast, integrated) with an emphasis on performance outcomes
  • Effective communication and coordination with internal teams and client contacts
  • Willingness to go above and beyond for your clients’ needs, including travel when necessary and some extended workdays
  • Professional curiosity and a willingness to learn
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including presentations, with the desire to command a room (or a Zoom meeting) full of clients and colleagues
  • Possess keen attention-to-detail and a collaborative work style
  • Strong business acumen
