This is a senior-level advertising agency position responsible for leading integrated cross-channel performance campaigns while collaborating with internal agency teams. Experience with media campaigns, including OTT/CTV, is required for this role. The Account Director plays an integral role in our clients’ success by supporting client objectives, ensuring sound strategic plan development and implementation while driving new opportunities in order to grow and scale our clients’ businesses.

What does an Account Director do at Rain the Growth Agency?

  • Drive the success of your client accounts.
    • Lead client relationships with a strategic mindset and serve as primary facilitator of cross-functional internal teams (media, analytics, finance, creative)
    • Facilitate strategic development and implementation of performance marketing campaigns and initiatives.
    • Collaborate with clients to establish goals and budgets.
    • Review agency outputs to ensure quality of delivery.
    • Own communication regarding execution of multi-channel media plans and marketing recommendations.
    • Partner with agency SMEs to identify new opportunities to grow your clients' business.
    • Foster strong relationships with clients as well as internal agency partners with the ability to read both the data and the room.
    • Understand client pain points/areas for development and offer agency solutions to address clients’ needs, driving growth for the client and expanding agency scope.
    • Own the financials for clients, including forecasts, budgets and invoicing – ensure the key financials and contractual responsibilities are understood, agreed upon and maintained.

  • Lead the development of integrated cross-channel campaigns.
    • As the primary client contact, lead client through development, implementation, execution and optimization of cross-channel campaigns.
    • Thrive in a fast-paced detailed oriented environment working with clients who have aggressive growth goals.
    • Work with media and analytics SMEs while also partnering with project management and other agency departments, including creative as needed, to ensure seamless integration to deliver on above.
    • Demonstrate a passion for performance. Work with the media and analytics teams to evaluate campaign performance and determine testing and optimization strategies accordingly.
    • Cultivate a deep understanding of your clients' business as well as the media and competitive landscapes.
    • Partner with channel leads to generate reports detailing insights, key learnings, and next steps.
    • Report on client health, including issues/opportunities regarding finance, campaign performance, or staffing issues and work with senior leadership to develop and present solutions.
  • Responsible for the development, coaching and day-to-day oversight of direct reports.
    • Lead and inspire high-performing Client Services team members through coaching, training and identifying areas for growth.
    • Foster effective team relationships that facilitate workflow with the team and assume responsibility of overall management and development of team
    • Excel at being resourceful and collaborative with team.
    • Conduct performance and goal assessment of team members.

What do we look for in an Account Director at our agency?

  • 8+ years of experience in an agency setting, preferably with media experience, including at least 1-3 years of management/mentorship experience.
  • Proven record of driving strategy that fueled successful campaigns and client relationships.
  • Expertise in performance campaign management with a focus on driving results
  • Strong understanding of a full-funnel media approach and associated KPIs including experience with campaigns that employ multiple media channels: Linear TV, CTV/OTT, Paid Social, Paid Search, Programmatic.
  • Willingness to go above and beyond for your clients' needs including travel when necessary and some extended work days.
  • Exemplary written and verbal communication skills including confidence in presenting to clients and colleagues, engaging and effective when presenting whether in a room or via Zoom
  • Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills
